The Story of Ghadir

On the 18th of Dhul Hijjah, 10 A.H., at Ghadir Khumm, the Prophet (S) stopped a gathering of over 100,000 Muslims and publicly declared Imam Ali as the leader of all believers. Yet soon after the Prophet’s death, this designation was set aside, shaping the course of Islamic history for centuries to come. Across 17 chapters, the book examines divine leadership in Islam, the Prophet’s preparation of Imam Ali for succession, the testimonies of companions, the verses revealed at Ghadir, and the concept of Imamate as the completion of the prophetic mission through the Quran and classical Sunni and Shia sources.

Rather than demanding blind acceptance, the book invites readers to examine the historical and textual evidence honestly and reflect on the lasting significance of the declaration at Ghadir Khumm for the Muslim community.
